Former or present other project activities The University of Minho is involved in several national and international project activities.
What else is important and one should know about this institution The University of Minho (UM), founded in 1973, is located in the Minho region of Northern Portugal in the cities of Braga and Guimarães. The Institute of Education (IE) is a unit of theUM in its component of education. O IE's mission is to develop projects in education, research and interaction with society in the broad area of education, thus contributing to the development and well-being of individuals, groups, organizations and educational society. The activity of teaching IE is divided in undergraduate programs, master's and doctoral degrees, own or shared with other UM schools. Covers also stages an advanced scientific, doctorate and post-doctoral in partnership with foreign universities. The various projects of IE extend beyond the national context, and internationally deserve some attention to cooperation with the countries closest in cultural terms and language, as is the case of Portuguese Speaking Countries. To accomplish its mission, IE partners with national and international institutions aimed at mutual enrichment and common objectives (as in www.ie.uminho.pt).
